The Youth Alcohol Prevention Program was created in November 2007 and is the newest community project. The goals of the program are to decrease underage drinking and binge drinking among Bay County students. This will be done by increasing awareness of the risks of alcohol among middle school and high school students and their parents. The program will work in conjunction with the Bay County Coalition to Prevent Underage Drinking to enhance the impact and raise awareness that underage drinking is a major problem for Bay County youth.
For more information on underage drinking or the Community Coalition, contact Bryan Russell, 872-4455, ext.1150 or via email.
